Where
the plates are still present, they always occur in the same Parts issue as in
the octavo edition. The only exceptions seem to be the view of Dartington which
should have been in Part 6, and the S W view of Crediton Church in Part 47 (not
46). This assumption is strengthened by the inclusion here of Part 46 with the
same two plates as above. The plates (India Proofs) are printed on very
fine India paper which has been pasted onto its background sheet.
Given the fact that the Wisconsin copy stops at page 394, the binding of Parts 49 and 50 together was probably by Jennings own binder, but when?

[1] The author has an almost
complete set. Parts 20, 33 and 40 are lacking (red) and are assumed. Prints
missing from this set are also printed in red.
[2] Parts 1 to 5 have
light blue covers or buff / khaki covers, except where early covers are
recycled blue covers (here Parts 15, 32 & 34, and 41-43) covers are
generally buff.
[3] Includes B2 and C2 where a
“2” gathering is included unless otherwise stated.
[4] No D2.
[5] * Indicates Gatherings inserted incorrectly, e.g. here
Gathering Y incorrectly placed before Gathering X.

[7] New covers have
been printed: the Address and Mode is replaced by three lines including
information about previous issues (Numbers 1 to 21 already published)
and offering Parts, i.e. three issues together, in both octavo and
quarto. Almost a full-page advert for Moule´s English Counties. As with
the octavo issue, from issue 22 numbers are added in manuscript or numbers on
older covers are altered.
[8] New covers: reverse now mentions Numbers 1 to 29
already published, Vol I complete (price 2l.) and a List of
Plates Already Published (Plates 1-58 above).
[9] Parts 41, 42 and 43 are old
covers from issue 4 with m/s additions, hence dated 1829. Parts 44 and 45 are

indicating both colours (blue and buff) may have been used throughout.
